My name is Matt Kearney; (thats me below)
I am 29 years old and a full time Real Estate Investor located in Springfield Massachusetts. My business partner; Dominic Kirchner, and I run Hampden Homebuyers LLC. We buy, sell and rent residential real estate, specializing in the renovation of blighted properties. We are currently buying and selling 1-2 properties per month in the worst real estate market since the great depression. Guess we didn’t get the memo that the market sucks!!
Follow us on this blog as we go from doing 1-2 deals per year, to doing 1-2 deals per month….
Hi Matt!
Last month you posted a real estate success story on the forum at http://www.flippinghomes.com. I would love to share your recent success with our readers in our next e-newsletter! Would you e-mail me at jen@flippinghomes.com, if you’re interested?
Thanks so much and Congratulations!
Jen
Matt,
It’s great to see someone else my age as a full time investor … like you mentioned in your comment over at my blog, you got your first private money lender at 23 … I got my first at 22. Looks like we’ve been on a similar path.
Good luck with everything and let me know if I can help you out in any way.

Hi J,
I’m on your site all the time… got you linked up in our blogroll too.
Best of luck,
Matt
What a great site for all of us to learn from thank you. I have a question about the site. Is there a place to find “Just The Numbers” for your deals? It would be great to see all the figures starting with Listing price all the way through counters(unless they are non listeds) and final sale price after rehab to give us all a realistic look at what is possible. You do a lot for us already and would understand if it’s too much to ask. God bless…..DaveG
Great blog – keep it up.
I got in the business in my mid twenties and it was the best thing I ever did. Though when I started the market was a little different (like you had to be a moron to lose money).
It’s good you are starting in this market so you don’t develop bad habits (because if you do in this market you won’t be in business long)
All the best to you
Thanks Curtis.

I need your help flipping a 24 unit apartment building what do you say?
Hey Matt,
I just want to say that I’m nothing but impressed with the work that you guys do. I was wondering if you have any advice on what to watch out for or what you would do over if you had a 2nd chance to start from scratch.
The area that I’m in seems hard to farm for low prices and I keep trying to find new opportunities. I’m also on BP as Mr_C and would like to ask you some more questions if you don’t mind.
Thanks,
Curtis
Hi Curtis,
Thanks for visiting our blog.
I got your BP request and I will email you through that site so we can talk more.

Matt,
I am very impressed with your activity and success, especially at your age. I am at the other end of the spectrum. I am nearly retirement and building my REI business here in Baton Rouge, LA. I would enjoy sharing some ideas with you.
Sincerely,
Bob Burns
